INGREDIENTS : –
- 1 cup soya chunks
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika or chilli powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 1/2 tbsp sesame oil or olive oil
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tsp light soya sauce
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame seeds, toasted
INSTRUCTIONS : –
- Place the soya chunks in a deep bowl and add enough hot water so that they are fully soaked. Cover and set aside for 10-15 minutes or until they turn soft.
- Drain the liquid and add the soaked soya chunks to a large mixing bowl.
- Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, chilli powder, maple syrup, soya sauce and apple cider vinegar. Cover with a lid and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes for the flavours to absorb.
- Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the marinated soya chunks and sauté for 2-3 minutes or until crisp and lightly browned.
- Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and serve immediately.
